Santa Fe Depot, located at the intersection of Washington and Depot Streets, is listed on the National Register of Historic places.  Constructed in 1909, the Depot is one of the few remaining in the nation, which has been preserved with its adjoining Harvey House Restaurant.

After undergoing an historical renovation in 1998-99, the Depot Civic and Cultural Center serves the citizens of Brownwood and provides a beautiful meeting site and venue for a variety of events.

The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce is located in the Harvey House side of the structure as of July 1999.   Our hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Thursday and  8:00 am - 4:00pm on Fridays.
