The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Hill Ranch Yoga's new location on Monday, December 5th.
Hill Ranch Yoga is a new yoga studio located in downtown Brownwood at 1045 Broadway, the corner at Main and S Broadway Street. They have multiple classes ranging from All Levels, Gentle Yoga, Express Lunch Class, Chair Yoga and more scheduled throughout the day. Apparel and other related items are also available. The structure of the classes allow clients to experience the presence of mindfulness with the added bonus of the physical benefit.

The 2016 Lighted Christmas Parade was held on Thursday, December 1st in Downtown Brownwood with a near-record number of entries participating.
The parade was sponsored by Texas Rock Crusher Railway while volunteers for the Toys for Kids program were honored as this year's Grand Marshal.
The Lighted Christmas Parade kicked off the Christmas Under the Stars Festival events held at the Depot Civic & Cultural Center and the Lehnis Railroad Museum. The festival was presented by Brownwood Regional Medical Center. McAlister's Deli was founded in 1989 and is a fast food restaurant chain known for their sandwiches, spuds, soups, salads, desserts and McAlister's famous sweet tea. They have dine-in and take-out services and offer catering with a selection of sandwich trays, box lunches, desserts and more.

The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce will feature Jim Keffer, Texas House of Representative Dist. 60 as their guest speaker at their monthly luncheon on November 18th. Keffer will give a preview of the next legislative session and have a look back at his career in the Texas House of Representatives for the past 20 years.
The luncheon will be held at the Brownwood Country Club. The buffet lunch begins at 11:30 AM and the program will begin at noon. Buffet lunch costs $14 per person payable to the Brownwood Country Club.

The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce will host its next Business to Business Showcase on Thursday, November 10th from 4:00 – 6:00 PM in the Depot Civic and Cultural Center.
This event will showcase several local businesses so they can share information about their products, services, knowledge and experience to other businesses right before the holidays. The event also gives members of the local workforce the opportunity to build relationships with each other.
This Business to Business Showcase will also serve as a meet-and-greet event for physicians Robert Brown, Gen. Surgeon; Yasmin Wilkinson, OB/Gyn; and Ahad Hassan, Cardiology; and Molly Gray, DO, Family Practice.
The Young Leaders of Brown County will be hosting an outdoor family movie night on Thursday, November 10th showing "Little Giants" at the Depot Plaza from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM with the movie beginning at 7:00 PM.
The family-friendly event is open to all ages and free to attend. Attendees are welcome to bring blankets or chairs.
The movie is hosted by the Young Leaders of Brown County. Free pizza, popcorn and drinks will be provided on a first come, first served basis.
The purpose of the Young Leaders Of Brown County is to provide young adults living in the area opportunities to network with other young leaders, establish relationships to build a career and an enjoyable lifestyle. Throughout the year the group will host special events to facilitate the development of leadership skills and partnerships with business and community leaders, necessary to grow as a young leader in the community.

The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for the Brownwood Women's Health Clinic in their new location on Friday, October 28th.
For years, Brownwood Women's Clinic has continued to provide the most innovative OBGYN services for women. Brownwood, TX - A photo exhibit will be coming to Brownwood next month to commemorate and honor those who have given their lives in the line of duty during The War on Terror.
A very emotional exhibit, "Remembering Our Fallen," is a sad reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made by almost 600 Texans killed in The War on Terror while wearing this country's uniform in Afghanistan or Iraq.
"Remembering Our Fallen" will be on display November 17-20 in the Depot Civic & Cultural Center in Brownwood. An opening ceremony will take place on November 17th at 10 AM for Gold Star Families. The exhibit will be open 11 AM-7 PM on November 17 & 18, 10 AM - 5 PM on November 19 and 1 PM - 6 PM on November 20. There is no charge to view the display and it is open to the public.

"We can never forget those who sacrificed everything for our freedom. We must remember these American Heroes and speak their names when we see their family members," said Dr. Mary Hawkins, President of Bellevue University, sponsor of the exhibit. "This exhibit is created so it can travel easily, so that more people will have the opportunity to honor and remember our Fallen who called Texas home."
The exhibit, created by Bill and Evonne Williams of Patriotic Productions in Omaha, is financially sponsored by Bellevue University, Bellevue, Nebraska. The display is on loan to the Texas Funeral Directors Association, and they will be responsible for touring the exhibit throughout Texas.
