Caring Family Network (CFN) is a foster care and adoption agency licensed by the State of Texas. The local agency held their annual fundraiser “A Nite at the Races” on October 27th at Sorrel Canyon Ranch.

Chamber Luncheon to Unveil Brownwood Economic Development Strategic Plan

LOGOpatch250The next Chamber's Monthly Luncheon will be Friday, October 19 at the Brownwood Country Club from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. The luncheon is open to members and guests. It will feature an interesting program, door prizes, introduction of new members and the "Aces Wild" Cash Drawing-which features a guaranteed winner each month.

The future of Brownwood economic development has been set forth in a recently completed strategic plan by Avalanche Consulting, Inc.  The 6-month planning process involved a large number of Brownwood leaders and residents.

Ribbon Cutting for Cornerstone Pet Hospital

pethospital450The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, September 25th for the newly opened Cornerstone Pet Hospital.

Owner Jeff Windham comes to the Brownwood area with over 10 years experience in animal medicine. Cornerstone offers small animal medicine, surgery, vaccinations and boarding/grooming.

List of National Night Out Block Parties in Brown County for October 2nd


Tuesday is National Night Out for Brown County and area residents are getting ready to hold block parties to meet neighbors and local law enforcement.

This year, 60 block parties are scheduled across the county in Brownwood, Early, Bangs, May, Zephyr, Brookesmith, and several rural locations.

Police from Brownwood, Early, and Bangs; area fire departments, Guardian EMS, and other city and county officials will visit these parties taking place Tuesday, October 2nd between 5:30pm and 8:30pm.

Sponsors for the 2012 National Night Out in Brown County include Heart of Texas Crime Stoppers, WT Harris Company, Guardian EMS, ATMOS Energy, Wal-Mart, Oncor Electric Delivery, Southside Church, and TexasBank.

One-Day Discount Offered for Brownwood Reunion Celebration Concert Tickets

reunionlogo2012The Brownwood Reunion Celebration and the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to offer a one-time only special for this year’s Brownwood Reunion main stage concert tickets.

On Thursday, September 6 during the Brownwood Business Showcase event at the Brownwood Coliseum, the three-day passes to the Reunion concerts will be on sale for only $10 each.

The Brownwood Reunion Celebration will take place September 14-16 in Downtown Brownwood.   The main stage concerts this year include:

Friday, September 14 – Rick Springfield ; Three Shades Blue opening

Saturday, September 15 – Wade Bowen; Mark Powell & Lariat opening

Sunday, September 16 – Local Christian bands - Brian Potter, Strange Trade, Sun City, and Free For All

The Brownwood Business Showcase event will take place from 10am – 6pm this Thursday with the special offer.  Entry fee to the show is $2 per person, but complementary passes to the showcase are available through Wednesday at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce located at 600 E. Depot Street.

Lee Healthcare offers both home health services and a large selection of home medical supplies and equipment. They service a wide region of north and central Texas with offices in Brownwood, Glen Rose, and Hamilton.

Tiny Tots Trunk Joins the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce


The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, August 3rd for Tiny Tots Trunk.

This recently opened children’s store offers the Brownwood area clothing and accessories for children from newborn to a size 7. Tiny Tots Trunk also offers nursery and gift items, and welcome shower selections as well.
