The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their monthly luncheon on Friday, March 20th at the Brownwood Country Club from 11:30 a.m to 1 p.m.
The luncheon is open to the public and will feature a unique program and includes door prizes, introduction of new members and the “Aces Wild” cash drawing.
This month's luncheon will feature speaker Margaret Hoogstra with the Texas Forts Trail. As executive director of the Texas Forts Trail, Margaret Hoogstra works with state agencies, chambers of commerce, convention and visitor bureaus, community development organizations, museums and attractions to increase tourism, support community development and promote historic preservation within a twenty-nine county area.
In her eleven-year tenure with the Forts Trail, she has co-directed a three-day cycling tour, guided group tours, and developed numerous cooperative marketing tools with a variety of partners.

The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a farewell reception for Missi Malone on Friday, March 13th from 2 PM- 4 PM at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce.
Missi has served as the Chamber's Director of Members Services for 5 years and previously held the position of Marketing Director for 3 years.
Missi has spearheaded many initiatives including the Chamber's Total Resource Campaign, the Young Leaders of Brown County, the Business Showcases, and Business After Hour events.
"Missi has been a valuable team members at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce and we will miss her," said Ray Tipton, Brownwood Chamber Executive Director. "We wish her well at her new job."

The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting on Thursday, February 5th for Racks N Rustics, which is getting set for its Grand Opening on Saturday.
The new store offers mixed traditional western wear with a modern flare for men and women. They will carry brands such as Silver Jeans, Dusty Rocker, Giddy Up Glamour, Crazy Train, Wrangler, Rock 47, and more.

The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce kicked off their fifth annual Total Resource Campaign on January 27, 2015. Total Resource Campaigns (TRC’s) are gaining support and popularity across the country and have been embraced by Chamber Members, board leadership and staff because of the beneficial nature of the campaign.
The TRC is designed to give Chamber members numerous opportunities to become more involved with the Chamber on various levels through greater public awareness of Chamber programs, projects and events. In addition, the TRC makes it easier for businesses to budget for the coming year and helps improve the efficiency of Chamber-sponsored events.
The Total Resource Campaign reviews and evaluates current Chamber programs and develops a menu of sponsorship opportunities tailored to fit any budget, big or small. Over a six-week period, beginning January 27th, 6 local volunteers will work with Chamber members to design an ideal sponsorship plan for the entire year. The TRC is designed to be fun and exciting for team members with rewards available throughout the campaign. The theme for this year's campaign is "2015 Total Resource Campaign….The SMART Choice!"
